Project Summary: **
MSI is recruiting a Project Manager (PM) to support a large DC-based USAID evaluation and analytic support project that supports USAID's Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment in designing and implementing studies around the world.
Position Summary:
The PM will support the existing project team in the management of contractual, financial and logistical aspects of a set of project activities. S/he will report to the Director of Operations and work in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager (SPM) as well as other PMs on the project.
Responsibilities:
- Support the SPM in contractual matters for both prime and subcontracts.
- Manage finances, approval requirements, track incoming costs, project future expenditures and preparation of financial reports for a set of project activities to be assigned by the SPM.
- Provide home office support for study teams under the PM's set of assigned project activities.
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate logistics for short-term consultants including any required travel.
- Editing, formatting, and branding of contract deliverables.
- Work closely with home office technical managers (“Activity Coordinators”) for the PM's set of assigned project activities to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of required products, and to ensure adherence to project and USAID standards for data collection, data analysis, data management and transfer, and reporting.
- Track and ensure on-time client deliverable requirements.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- Familiarity with FAR and USAID regulations, including USAID Evaluation Policy and relevant regulations (e.g., ADS 201-203) strongly preferred.
- Interest and experience with evaluations and analytic studies, including quantitative and qualitative research, strongly preferred.
- Interest in relevant subject matter areas (i.e., education, economic growth, environment), preferred.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Proficiency in Spanish or French, helpful.
