Project Summary:
The anticipated, five-year South Sudan PCEP Project will enhance the Missions portfolio by promoting stability, local solutions, and citizen participation to mitigate conflict, advance reconciliation efforts, increase access to information, and empower civil society. The project will provide flexible, strategic responses to peace building and civil-society strengthening opportunities throughout the country.

Position Summary:
The Peacebuilding and Trauma Awareness Advisor is responsible for the conflict mitigation, peacebuilding and trauma portfolio under PCEP. S/he will be responsible for situational awareness, trend analysis, program adaptation to reflect best practices and lessons learned for stabilization and conflict mitigation. S/he will coordinate program activities with other stabilization actors in South Sudan.
Qualifications:
- Seven years of relevant experience developing, implementing and monitoring conflict mitigation, peacebuilding and trauma-awareness programs in fluid, politically sensitive conflict and post-conflict environments
- Experience in South Sudan preferred.
- A relevant bachelors degree from an accredited university.
- Experience using small grants to help local organizations, individuals, communities and constituencies advocate for, develop or implement conflict mitigation, peacebuilding and political transition activities.
- Fluency in English.
