Project Summary:
The anticipated, five-year South Sudan PCEP Project will enhance the Missions portfolio by promoting stability, local solutions, and citizen participation to mitigate conflict, advance reconciliation efforts, increase access to information, and empower civil society. The project will provide flexible, strategic responses to peace building and civil-society strengthening opportunities throughout the country.

Position Summary:
The Civil Society and Media Advisor is responsible for the civil-society and media capacity, building and programming portfolios under PCEP. S/he will oversee the making, sustaining and developing of key civil-society and independent media sector contacts throughout South Sudan, with attention to Juba and interior locations. The Civil Society and Media Advisor will continually assess the performance and needs of well-established civil-society actors (individuals, groups, and coalitions) and nascent civil society entrants.
Qualifications:
- Seven years of relevant experience working on related programming in fluid, politically sensitive conflict and post-conflict environments.
- A relevant bachelors degree from an accredited university.
- Relevant experience working in civil society and media outreach and capacity building, and the development of relationships and partnerships, identifying and nurturing collaboration.
- Fluency in English.
