BALADI CAP is a five-year, technical assistance program funded by USAID/Lebanon that advances the institutional capacities of Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs) and municipalities/unions to improve the delivery of services to local citizens.

Position Summary:
MSI is seeking candidates for the short-term position of grant writer.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of the chief of party (COP) to produce 6-8 grant packages for funding under BALADI CAP's “Civic Engagement Initiative” Advocacy grants component.
- Coordinate the BALADI CAP grant writing process (for approximately 6-8 grants).
- Lead technical and budget negotiations with potential BALADI CAP grantees.
- Lead the BALADI CAP team in the process of grant writing, including technical grant writing (e.g. program descriptions, negotiation memos) as well as documentation in support of grantee budget development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public administration, public policy, CSO management, public health, agricultural economics or related fields.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in developing project and/or grant proposals and applications.
- Previous experience working with civil society organizations (preferably, Lebanese CSOs);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized work habits, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
