Proposal Summary:
The USAID Learning Contract will help USAID/Uganda strengthen its performance and, to a lesser extent the performance of its implementing partners, in collaborating, learning and performing in order to fortify the impact and sustainability of USAID-supported contributions to Uganda's development.
Position Summary:
The director of performance improvement will have primary responsibility for delivering new ways of doing business and improving the capacity of USAID/Uganda staff. S/he will provide vision and leadership to the adapting and performing agendas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead MSI's efforts to help USAID/Uganda strengthen its USAID's internal business practices.
- Lead MSI's efforts to train, coach and establish mentorship arrangements for USAID/Uganda staff.
- Ensure complementarity between training, coaching and mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a social science, development studies, or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years of direct experience in training and improving business processes in development organizations.
- Five (5) years of experience managing staff in providing services relevant to training, organizational development, and/or business process reengineering.
- Three (3) years of experience living and working in developing country environments, preferably East Africa.
- Quality past performance references relevant to the position.
