Project Summary: **
MSI is recruiting a project manager for the Africa regional portfolio, which includes a combination of various field- and DC-based projects, including the Civil Society/NGO Sustainability Index (CSOSI/NGO) projects. The CSOSI/NGO Index projects work on a measurement tool initially used by the USAID E&E Bureau to measure and assess the development of CSO sectors following the fall of the Berlin Wall. The CSOSI was adapted to Africa in 2009 and is currently being introduced to the MENA Region, covering the baseline year of 2011, and in Asia covering the baseline year of 2014. The CSOSI for Asia, Africa and MENA is used by the USAID DRG Office, the Africa Bureau, the Bureau for Middle East and North Africa, and the Asia Bureau to study the strength and overall viability of CSO sectors in these regions. The Index is a valuable resource for USAID Missions, other international donors, and local CSO umbrella groups and support centers. The exact project allocation will depend on the timing of the start date of the selected candidate.
