Position Summary
MSI is seeking candidates for the full-time/long-term position of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist for the LCRI project in Beirut, Lebanon. Under the supervision of the M&E Officer, the M&E Specialist will be responsible for supporting monitoring and evaluation of activities implemented by the Lebanon Community Resilience Initiative (LCRI), working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. LCRI is a rapid-response program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)''s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI), which seeks to mitigate community-level tensions and support constructive youth engagement. The M&E Specialist position is based in Beirut and will require regular travel to various parts of the country.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and implementing initiatives to strengthen LCRI''s approach to M&E, including adoption of standardized indicators, indicator tracking tools, and evaluation approaches.
- Assist in developing activity-level M&E plans, tracking and documenting progress towards indicator targets, and updating targets on a regular basis using LCRI''s database.
- Assist in uploading M&E-related data, including reports, photographs, and other relevant documentation in LCRI''s database.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and impact of LCRI grant activities and complete site visit reports to document findings.
- Contribute to progress and impact reporting through sharing anecdotes, observations, quotes from partners and beneficiaries, and photographs.
- Assist in conducting evaluations of grant activities, identifying lessons learned, and sharing lessons with the broader program team.
- Help design, test, implement and review M&E tools, templates, forms, and data flow mechanisms.
- Help build the capacity and provide technical assistance to LCRI partners and grantees in monitoring and evaluation techniques.
- Actively contribute to information sharing within the LCRI project.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the M&E Officer and/or Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree or higher in social science, statistics or a discipline relevant to M&E.
- One (1) to three (3) years'' experience in monitoring and evaluation, social science research, journalism or a relevant field.
- Prior work experience in complex, high-speed and challenging work environments.
- Strong analytical skills, teamwork and writing abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and web applications.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the country.
- Experience working on donor-funded projects, particularly with USAID, is highly desirable.
