Project Summary: MSI is recruiting a Project Manager to handle a large field-based USAID Democracy & Governance project in Colombia. USAID's Regional Governance Activity (RGA) is a four-and-a-half year activity to improve subnational governance in 40 conflict-affected municipalities. It aims to build trust, credibility and legitimacy while increasing the capacity of subnational governments to deliver services to vulnerable sectors of population.
Position Summary: The project manager will work with a project management team on managing all contractual, financial and logistical aspects of the project. S/he will report to the Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support management of project finances, including reviewing of incoming costs, projecting future expenditures, preparing financial reports and invoices to the client, maintaining and updating project's budget tracker.
- Coordinate, review and approve financial invoicing of subcontractors.
- Coordinate closely with the field office staff on preparing and updating components' budgets in accordance with the approved work plans.
- Support recruitment and reviewing of documentation for full time field staff and consultants.
- Coordinate logistics for travel of project employees and consultants.
- Support editing of contract deliverables and ensuring contractual compliance for deliverables submission.
- Other backstopping tasks for a large oversees project, as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with FAR and USAID regulations preferred.
- Working proficiency and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel required.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
