Project Summary: **
The Monitoring & Evaluation Support Program (MESP) will provide evaluation assistance, M&E training and support, and strategic communications assistance to the USAID Mission in Jordan as well as local implementing partners. The program will enable the Mission to fulfill its performance monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and information sharing as mandated by Agency guidance.

Position Summary:
The main function of the Project Assistant role is to assist the MESP team in implementing multiple technical interventions including: managing the USAID/Jordan knowledge management portal; analyzing Mission performance data; collecting, entering and analyzing M&E-related data to inform MESP learning and adaptive management; and other technical tasks as requested. The position will run through the end of the project in December 2018 and is based in Amman.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the population and maintenance of the MESP/USAID/Jordan Knowledge Management Portal (KaMP).
- Conduct data entry and run basic data analyses in support of MESP technical teams.
- Conducting web-based research to provide information, guidelines, lessons learned and best practices in M&E or as needed.
- Conduct interviews and other data collection activities to inform learning around key MESP deliverables.
- Provide administrative support to MESP Monitoring and Evaluation teams.
- Other M&E administrative and technical activities as required.
Qualifications:
- BA degree in MIS, business administration or similar fields with a focus on research, data analysis, and/or related skills.
- At least 2-4 years of work experience.
- Strong aesthetic and design sense.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written/oral communication and presentation/interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Familiar with data visualization best practices and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Database management skills are preferred.
- Experience conducting market research is preferred.
