ProjectSummary:
The Increased Demand and Engagement for Accountability (IDEA) Activity will aim to strengthen Sri Lanka’s civil society sector, with an emphasis on working in all regions of Sri Lanka and supporting civil society organization (CSO) participation in national and local governance processes.
Position Summary:
The civil society leadership manager will be responsible for delivering on MSI’s commitment to USAID under the sub-purpose 2: improve the enabling environment for civil society. The interventions will focus on public attitudes toward civil society and the legal and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate delivery of programs.
- Work with CSO leadership to maintain momentum and program focus for sub-purpose 2.
- Arrange and coordinate other training and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of hands-on experience working in the field of governance, social cohesion, gender and/or sustainable livelihoods is advantageous.
- Experience working in field locations in the provinces preferred.
- Fluency in English and one national language required; proficiency in a second national language desired.
- A good understanding of and commitment to gender and diversity considerations.
- Experience in working on USAID-funded projects and programs.
