Project Summary: **
MSI is recruiting a full-time project manager for the Africa regional portfolio to provide support to the South Sudan Monitoring and Evaluation Support Project (MESP) activities on a part-time basis. This five-year project provides USAID/South Sudan with flexible, demand-driven technical, analytic, advisory, training, monitoring, evaluation, and related support services for performance measurement, planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, activity mapping, and performance information management and dissemination activities. In its final year, MESP is increasingly providing third party monitoring, and critical situational assessments of social service delivery under crisis conditions.
The project manager will also work part time on Mali Justice Project (MJP) and Liberia Legal Professional Development and Anti-Corruption Project (LPAC), both subcontracts under Checchi's Rule of Law IQC. These projects support overall project missions for reduction of corruption and improvements in the rule of law field. This is achieved though methods of citizen advocacy, trade route corruption reduction through comprehensive communications strategy, establishing corruption reporting systems and various other means.
Position Summary:
MSI is recruiting a project manager to provide backstopping support to Africa-based projects. The project manager will provide critical support to ensure that program activities are done correctly and in a timely manner. S/he is responsible for supporting specific program activities by conducting the following tasks below:
S/he will report to the director of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all contractual matters for both prime and subcontracts.
- Manage project finances, approval requirements, track incoming costs, project future expenditures and preparation of financial reports.
- Provide home office support for overseas field project(s).
- Coordinate logistics for onboarding field project office employees and travel.
- Recruitment, onboarding and travel logistics for short-term consultants.
- Editing of contract deliverables.
- Track and ensure on-time client deliverable requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with FAR and USAID regulations strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Proficiency in French required.
