Project Summary: **

The U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Office of Food for Peace (FFP) is a major humanitarian donor in South Sudan, providing an estimated $300 million annually in lifesaving food and nutrition assistance. The purpose of Third Party Monitoring and Verification (TPM&V) is to provide activity monitoring, output verification, and reporting services for USAID/South Sudan FFP activities.

**Please note: Only South Sudanese citizens are eligible for this position.

Position Summary:

The Logistics and Admin Support position will work at the MESP Field Office in Juba, South Sudan and will report to Senior Field Monitor on a day to day basis with oversight from the deputy chief of party (DCOP) to ensure that work meets USAID and MSI practices and policies. Moreover, the position will be tasked with providing administrative support for travel and other logistics of the TPM activities. This position is solely focused on the FFP activity and the assignment duration is from August 2017 to March 2018.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize all logistics for TPMs and team, including arranging hotels, transportation, and communication.
  • Facilitate preparation of itineraries connected to TPM travel and work plans.
  • Coordinate with the COP, DCOP and MSI HQ on related matters, including providing regular updates, communicating critical information to the local team, and compiling official documentation.
  • Supervision of staff or consultants.
  • Assist with all other tasks upon request from MSI HQ or the COP in relation to FFP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience working on donor-funded projects in a related role and with some demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Experience in security challenged environments strongly preferred.
  • The candidate should be fluent in the contractor's and USAID's policies and procedures in regards to financial management, financial reporting, and procurement processes, systems, and grants management.
  • Previous experience working in South Sudan and on rapid transition programs in insecure environments is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required.
