Project Summary: **
The Lebanon Community Resilience Initiative (LCRI) is a project funded by USAID/OTI. LCRI provides strategically targeted support to advance peace and stability in Lebanon.

\Please note: Only Lebanese citizens are eligible for this position.**

Position Summary:
The IT Specialist is responsible for the overall integrity of the Lebanon Community Resilience Initiative (LCRI) IT system including data security and compliance to USAID and MSI IT regulations, in close consultation with the MSI Home Office Information Management Systems (IMS) team. The position is based in Beirut.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain structural integrity of LCRI project tools for the collection and management of information.
  • Maintain structural integrity of IT systems and LCRI Project server.
  • Maintain and operate office equipment; serve as an IT generalist and troubleshoot day-to-day office IT issues to assist with IT related problems including internet outages and computer troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with the MSI Home Office IT department when necessary in order to create new email addresses and procure any Information and Communication Technology as needed.
  • Gather IT requirements from users, and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop a service plan to improve users' technology skills, which will include training users as needed.
  • Conduct periodic trainings for MSI headquarter and field office staff in the use and maintenance of LCRI data collection and management systems.
  • Assist Director of Operations with developing IT solutions to support operations and reporting requirements as needed.
  • Design electronic filing systems for the project in coordination with the Chief of Party and the Director of Operations.
  • Ensure that project files and data are regularly backed up.
  • Set up security cameras and monitors in and around the project office and manage security feeds.
  • Ensure staff compliance with LCRI Information Security Manual and update the manual as needed.
  • Actively contribute to information sharing within the LCRI Project.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Chief of Party and the Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • IT diploma, 3 years of study in IT or systems administration, or higher with additional training in computer science or information technology.
  • Five (5) years' experience in information management, database design, and IT systems, preferably on development projects. Knowledge of United States Agency for International Development procedures is an advantage.
  • Experience with data collection procedures, systems design, systems analysis and information systems project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and/or manage a large, secure database.
  • Experience managing and maintaining IT and communications equipment, networks and systems.
  • CCNP Certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
  • VCA Certification (VMware certified associate)
  • CCNA Security Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate Security)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with the proper discretion and security is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to project activity locations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Fluency in English.
