Project Summary:
Governance Integration for Stabilization and Resilience in the Middle East and North Africa (GISR MENA) is a $95 million multi-faceted single-award field support mechanism under GSA's OASIS IDIQ available for MENA Bureau Operating Units (OUs) to buy-in for activities through August 2020 – and for an additional three-year period with single option years. GISR MENA is designed to offer the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) operating units (OUs) i.e., country offices and bilateral missions the opportunity to understand and address the shocks and stressors in post-conflict and fragile settings in the MENA region.
GISR MENA's core funding will be utilized to build on initiatives carried out by USAID's YP2LE mechanism and related platforms and tailor them to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) context. The purpose is twofold: 1) to manage content in Arabic and lead a MENA group of youth on YouthLead.org and 2) to create a Youth Community of Practice (COP) on YouthPower.org for the MENA region that will advance cross learning and collaboration on Positive Youth Development (PYD) in the region.
Launched in 2018 under the USAID-funded project YouthPower Learning, YouthLead.org is designed for young changemakers making a positive impact in their community through service, activism, advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship. The network members are focused on finding solutions by connecting people, ideas, and resources to tackle critical issues affecting young people at home and around the world.

Position Summary:
The Senior Community of Practice (COP) Co-Champion will engage with the COP web-based platform, engage in social media outreach, host webinars, and facilitate discussion and participation from the COP members. The Senior COP Co-champion will work with the Youth COP Co-Champion in overall management of the COP web-based platform.
The anticipated timeline for the assignment is November 2020 – August 2021.
Responsibilities:
Manage web-based platform groups
Manage social media groups such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp
Develop and implement social media, digital communication strategy, and writing for the web
Using Google Docs and other online collaboration tools
Prepare for and host webinars across different platforms
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a relevant field required
Minimum of four years of experience in the field required
Prior experience in Managing a Community of Practice and Positive Youth Development and the Middle East and North Africa region preferred
Prior skills in facilitating discussions, managing meetings/events, fostering participation and promoting discussion topics is preferred
Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software
Experience as a mentor, coach, or trainer for the social aspects of community
English and Arabic fluency are required, French fluency is preferred
