Proposal Summary:
USAID/Armenia is planning to fund a five-year Rule of Law/Justice Sector Support activity in Armenia. This anticipated activity will help the Government of Armenia (GoA) reform justice sector institutions by 1) increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the judicial system; 2) improving the self-regulatory capacity of the Supreme Judicial Council; and 3) improving legal education and professional training programs. The activity will also strengthen oversight of justice sector reform.
Position Summaries:
MSI is recruiting qualified Armenian or third country national (TCN) staff with technical and operations experience in judicial reform and civil society. Program managers and senior program managers will be hired for each technical area. These are full-time positions based in Yerevan. Please note these positions are contingent upon funding and USAID approval. Armenian citizens are encouraged to apply.
MSI seeks specialists in the following areas:
- Judicial training
- Case management and court administration
- Civil society and stakeholder outreach
- Clinical legal education/legal aid
- Finance and grants management
- Monitoring and evaluation
Qualifications:
- Program managers should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in rule of law or justice sector programming.
- Senior program managers should have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in rule of law or justice sector programming.
- Finance and grants manager should have an undergraduate degree in financial or business management or a related field; a professional qualification in accountancy; and three (3) years of experience in managing U.S. government-funded programs.
- Monitoring and evaluation specialists should have an undergraduate degree in statistics, social science, international development or related field with at least five (5) years of experience in providing technical support for monitoring and evaluation activities, preferably for USAID projects.
- Demonstrated experience working in Armenia or comparable country contexts.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required. Proficiency in Armenian preferred.
