Project Summary:
The Support to Anti-Corruption Champion Institutions (SACCI) Program in Ukraine is a five-year USAID initiative with the objective to assist Ukraine to reduce corruption and increase the accountability and transparency of governance. The program seeks to empower key government institutions to fight corruption, build public support for and engagement in anti-corruption effort, and reduce citizen tolerance to corruption.

Position Summary:
Civic Engagement Program Manager will work with civil society organizations (including gender, and vulnerable groups), civic activists, private sector and professional associations to promote engagement of citizens and different target audiences in anti-corruption activities and building and maintaining civic networks. Civic Engagement Program Manager will also ensure smooth and effective cooperation with the governmental partners, dominantly but not limited to the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, in providing support regarding engagement citizens into the anticorruption activities and increasing public understanding of corruption and its costs. This is a full-time position located in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships and cooperation the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) Integrity Building Office and other relevant counterparts
Support networking and collaboration among constituency-based non-governmental actors that work in the anti-corruption related areas
Build trainings and mentor the capacity and skills of the constituency-based non-governmental actors
Contribute to assessing citizen awareness and engagement and translate findings into activity programming
Contribute to the design, implementation and supervision of anti-corruption initiatives for CSOs
Contribute to the design, implementation and supervision of the SACCI's support to the NACP Integrity Building Office in engaging citizens in anti-corruption activities and forming zero tolerance to corruption
Contribute to the design of the grants program to CSOs
Participate in the selection and work planning process
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of the projects implemented by grantees
Assist with organizing SACCI public events, such as workshops, round tables, training, etc.
Contribute to the development of documents and deliverables as well as analytical research
Collaborate with USAID and other development stakeholders to jointly design and implement anti-corruption programs/activities for engaging CSOs
Foster an atmosphere of teamwork productivity, creativity, fairness, equity, and innovation, and support for diversity
Collaborate with the SACCI team on achieving results and reaching targets
Report to the Civic Engagement and Public Outreach Leader (Objective 2&3) on major technical, managerial and financial issues related to the project and consult on making decisions related to program activities, contractors, local staff, USAID, other donor organizations, etc.
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or higher in social science, public administration, political science, communications, or other relevant areas.
Minimum three years of experience working with project management, CSOs, public and international relations within national level governmental institutions
Knowledge and experience working on issues related to community engagement in anti-corruption activities such as communication, public awareness and social accountability
Experience of working for national level governmental agencies on communication and public relations position is a strong advantage
Strong knowledge of Ukraine anti-corruption reform agenda
Prior experience with USAID-funded or other international organization project is considered an asset
Highly motivated, energetic, independent and self-starter
Ability and wiliness to travel within Ukraine
Strong communications skills – both oral and written
Fluency in Ukrainian and proficiency in English required
