USAID/Iraq Performance Management and Evaluation Services (PMES),

Project Summary:
Under the recently-awarded Iraq PMES contract, MSI provides USAID/Iraq with utilization-driven support in the areas of project/activity monitoring, evaluation, research, organizational learning, and knowledge management. The primary goal of the contract is to improve performance management at all levels to help the Mission meet Agency requirements, make better informed strategic and management decisions, and advance USAID learning on effective development approaches. The project involves services across four components: (1) Performance Management, (2) Evaluation Services, (3) M&E Capacity Building, and (4) Collaboration, Learning and Adapting. The project will have offices in Baghdad and Erbil.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will support the Deputy Chief of Party with start-up activities in Erbil. This is a short-term position up to three months.
Responsibilities:
Create market survey for internet service providers, transportation companies, office supply companies, translation service providers, etc.
Support with procurement process for possible services / goods needed for PMES
Procure petty cash for office supplies as needed
Establish a database of possible vendors to use and maintain a relationship with them
Gather information regarding governmental regulations for office set up such as district council approval, local security approval, etc.
Support with gathering information and initiating the process for visa application request for PMES expats with KRI
Assist with residency permits for Expats if needed in KRI
Direct office set up, room layout and other related and needed tasks
Provide transportation to visiting staff as needed
Other admin duties needed if necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Minimum of two years of experience with similar administrative and professional work
Computer skills Microsoft Office application knowledge
Communication and emailing skills
Valid driver's license and safe vehicle for transportation
Kurdish fluency required, Arabic and English-speaking skills preferred
