Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator position is responsible for assisting with the administration and coordination of the human resources function. This includes administrative support for HR tasks related to on-boarding, benefits administration, and training. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities:
HR Administration:
Maintain required HR regulation posters, including minimum wage and workers compensation
Maintain HR records and files according to compliance requirements
Assist with HR audit requests
Serve as point of contact for all employment verifications both internally and externally
Provide Benefit administration support, including 401k, Commuter, Parking, Health Insurance, and other corporate benefits
Assist in the development of departmental communications, materials, templates, and documentation of HR processes
Process department invoices and expenses
People & Culture Support:
- Point of contact for employees on HR inquiries and request
- Support the on-boarding process for all new employees
- Support planning and delivery of corporate events led by the HR team
- Assist HR team with special projects and other duties as assigned
Learning Management System Support:
- Review HR data imported to the learning management system and identify discrepancies
- Serve as a backup administrator for the learning management system
- Assist with logistical support for in-person trainings
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in a support role in administration or human resources
- Strong administrative and organizational skills and an ability to multitask, and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic and “customer service” focus
- Previous experience working with Microsoft Office Applications, an HRIS system, an applicant tracking system, and/or a learning management system preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow prescribed and standard routines, practices, and procedures as well as receive general instruction and supervision on work progress
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing with all levels of staff
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in solving problems and the initiative and interest to learn new skills and tackle new projects
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices is preferred
- Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of information and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
