Arabic Internship

Internship Program

MSI has a comprehensive, paid internship program that provides talented individuals an opportunity to gain practical skills and experience in a wide range of roles. We are proud to have worked in partnership with USAID, DFID and numerous other clients in some of the most challenging political and economic climates in the world.

Project Management Internships are diverse and fast paced, with opportunities to assist and support dozens of projects or dive in to one project specifically depending on interest and regional needs. A Project Manager (PM) oversees and manages all aspects of a project, from budget management to deliverable submission. A Project Management Intern supports these same responsibilities, thus having the unique opportunity to learn firsthand how to successfully manage international development projects.

This project will focus on establishing and undertaking independent third-party monitoring to increase OFDA, FFP, and partners' understanding of the outputs, progresses, challenges, successes and lessons learned of selected projects. It will support OFDA, FFP and their partners in effectively tracking assistance efforts, and to ensure aid is achieving its goals, the project will also solicit beneficiary feedback, improve the quality of partners' data and monitor warehousing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Translation of project documents from English to Arabic and vice versa
  • Aiding in HR aspects of the project (reviewing CVs, verifying candidates' information, tracking progress of candidates' applications, etc.)
  • Organizing and researching project information for technical and project management use
  • Assisting in the review of financial documents (invoices, vouchers, expense reports, etc.)
  • Reviewing project documents/deliverables prior to submission
  • Supporting the goals and objectives of the project through other tasks not explicitly stated in this position description

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Arabic
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Time management and the ability to multitask
  • Openness and willingness to learn

Our paid internship program is for people who are passionate about international development. Internships are generally seasonal but can last up to a year with mutual interest from both intern and team. Interns work a flexible schedule of 28 hours per week.
