Project Summary:
USAIDs Obirodh: Road to Tolerance Program will provide support to activities aimed at fostering an inclusive and tolerant Bangladesh. The projects main office is located in Dhaka, and this position will be based in the Rajshahi satellite office.

Position Summary:
The full-time Program Officer will be responsible for supporting grantee engagement and implementation oversight. S/he will travel frequently within an assigned area to provide surge support to grantees implementing complex or first-time grants.
Responsibilities:
- Support Program Development Officers to identify communities and community groups where program objectives can be met and draft activity ideas as concept notes in English.
- Support with grantee engagement and implementation oversight.
- Support grant packages development in English for review by the Program Development Officer
- Coordinate preparation of grant packages with grants specialists and other staff.
- Conduct site visits with grantees to monitor implementation.
- Assist in report, data and MOV collection and checking.
- Provide briefs in English to senior management team and prepare notes in grants database.
- Maintain quality control of grants database.
- Support the Learning Manager to lead reflection events and after-action review (ARRs) at grant closeout with grantees and staff.
- Travel frequently within an assigned area and provides surge support to grantees implementing complex or first-time grants
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Development Officer, Senior Program Officer, Deputy Chief of Party and/or Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in social science field.
- At least three (2) years of experience working in administrative and/or financial management
- At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in Rajshahi.
- Advanced English writing skills.*
- Strong English and Bangla speaking and writing capabilities preferred.
- Strong self-initiative and the ability to implement and manage program activities and tasks proactively without waiting for instructions.
- Open communication style.
