ProjectSummary:
The Increased Demand and Engagement for Accountability (IDEA) Activity will aim to strengthen Sri Lanka’s civil society sector, with an emphasis on working in all regions of Sri Lanka and supporting civil society organization (CSO) participation in national and local governance processes.
Position Summary:
The administrative assistant position is based in Vavuniya. The administrative assistant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks of the IDEA Project in Vavuniya.

Responsibilities
· Manage the reception desk, receive office visitors, as well as mail and other deliveries.
· Manage all Vavuniya office communications.
· Perform tracking, record keeping and filing.
· Provide logistical and procurement support.
· Maintain petty cash supply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field.
- Experience working as administrative assistant, secretary or technical support for a public organization, NGO or international organization with at least two (2) years of experience supporting senior staff.
- Prior experience working with USAID-funded projects preferred.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and one national language required; proficiency in a second national language desired; tri-lingual proficiency is preferred.
