Proposal Summary:
The South Sudan PCEP Project will enhance the Mission’s portfolio by promoting stability, local solutions, and citizen participation to mitigate conflict, advance reconciliation efforts, increase acces to information, and empower civil society. The project will provide flexible, strategic responses to peace building and civil-society strengthening opportunities throughout the country.
Position Summary:
The Regional Project Managers (RPMs) (multiple openings) will be based in one of the project regional offices in South Sudan. The RPMs will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) in Juba. This position is primarily responsible for activity design, implementation, office and team management, logistics, procurement and project budgets. S/he will execute procedures and operations as directed by his/her supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all of the program and operations for assigned regional field office and supervise the activity implementation teams.
- Manage all operations within an assigned field office, including assets, personnel, finance, logistics, and programmatic activities.
- Oversee implementation of in-kind grants and sub-contracts, including direct supervision of implementation activity team which may include construction supervisors, Field Admin/Finance Officer, Logistician, Program Officers, Regional Conflict Advisors, Grant Specialists and drivers.
- Develop work plans and pipelines; prepare programmatic and operational financial projections for the field offices in close collaboration with the team and Juba staff.
- Maintain knowledge of overall regional strategy and activity development for the project.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to review and discuss status of grant development and implementation, evaluate progress, and agree on next steps.
- Ensure that all activities are tracked and reported on to the client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. Professional certifications or training will be viewed favorably. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience related to project management, grants support and/or operations and logistics.
- Ability and willingness to travel to various locations in-country.
- Fluency in both written and oral English.
